The railway vehicle bolster, generally manufactured by casting. As one of the main load-bearing components of three-piece type bogies, it transmit vertical, longitudinal and lateral vehicle loads, and enable rotational movement between the bogie and the car body.
Each bolster is normally designed with:
➤ 1 center plate, which restricts relative movement between the car body and bogie and transmits loads in different directions.
➤ 2 mounting interfaces for side bearings, different side bearings (such as gap-type or constant-contact elastic side bearings) can be fitted according to vehicle performance requirements.
➤ 4 mounting interfaces for friction dampers, different types of wedges can be installed according to vehicle performance requirements.
➤ Assembly interfaces for brake system components.
Railway vehicle bolster supplied by Railteco are made of Grade B, B+ and C cast steel complying with AAR M-201 and TB/T 2942, or cast steel conforming to GOST standards. Manufacturing complies with AAR M-202, TB/T 3012 or GOST standards. In addition, finite element simulation, static load and fatigue tests, chemical composition and mechanical property testing of materials, non-destructive testing and other measures are adopted to guarantee product quality.
Apart from supplying bolster types listed in the table below, Railteco can also carry out customized design and production in accordance with parameters specified by customers. As well as optimize bolster structures, when matched with bogie products designed by Railteco, the running performance of vehicles can be further improved.
